Breckenridge Brewery opened its doors in 1990 in the mountain town of Breckenridge, Colorado. It’s the third-oldest craft brewery in the state. Nestled below the slopes on Main Street, our brewpub continues to delight locals and visitors with a lively atmosphere, delicious pub fare, and of course, a great selection of beer.

Back in the early days, however, we very quickly found that there was more demand for craft beer than we could possibly make in that location. That’s when Todd Usry, now the brewery’s president, entered the picture. As he began his brewery apprenticeship in Breckenridge, he and the team looked for locations in Denver to build a second brewpub with space for a bigger brewhouse.

Our two locations, Breckenridge and Littleton, are destinations for locals and out-of-towners. As of 2016 Breckenridge Brewery became a proud member of The High End, a family of craft breweries and unit of Anheuser-Busch. We now send beer to thirty-five states and continue to create new and exciting beers. Our portfolio contains classics like Vanilla Porter, Avalanche Amber Ale, Agave Wheat, 471 Double IPA, and Breck IPA, along with a variety of specialty beers that include seasonals, barrel-aged beers, the Brewery Lane Series, and a newly announced nitrogen-charged canned series.

Featured Brewery: Kona

March 10, 2019 by Allison Reps

Aloha. That’s how most conversations begin here. It’s also how many of them end. But “Aloha” doesn’t just mean hello and goodbye and love and welcome. It means more than a word can express. It’s a feeling. A way of life. “Aloha” is the idea that we are all connected to everyone and everything around us and that true joy is found in respecting this connection. And it’s in this aloha spirit that the Kona Brewing Company was founded back in 1994 by Cameron Healy and his son Spoon Khalsa. They combined their love of Hawaii and its pristine, natural beauty with their fondness for delicious, local brews, and lucky for us, their dream lives on more than 20 years later.

So try a few of them. And join us in our pursuit of aloha.

Kona Brewing Company was founded by father and son team Cameron Healy and Spoon Khalsa. The pair had a vision to reflect the spirit, culture, and beauty of Hawaii in a collection of local island craft beers, so in 1994 they set out for the Big Island to bring their dream to life.

Flash forward to today, and Kona Brewing has become one of the best-selling craft beer brands in the world. But despite our global success, we’ve managed to stay true to our Hawaiian roots through innovation, sustainability and community outreach. And we’re still headquartered where it all began, in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii’s Big Island.

Featured Brewery: Oskar Blues

March 3, 2019 by Allison Reps

In 2002, a funky little Colorado grown brew-pub started stuffing their huge, voluminously hopped mutha of a pale ale in a can (Dale’s Pale Ale). That not only began the craft-beer-in-a-can craze, but has grown to add a brewery to the hills of Pisgah National Forest in Brevard, NC and another in the Live Music Capital of the World, Austin, TX, in 2016. Cans keep beer fresher, longer by eliminating the damaging effects of light and ingressed oxygen while being infinitely recyclable and portable…taking them where your next soul saving adventure takes you.

Oskar Blues Brewery is a craft brewery with locations in Longmont, Colorado, Brevard, North Carolina, and Austin, Texas. The company began as a brewpub in Lyons in 1997 and began brewing beer in the basement in 1999. In 2002, they became one of the first to put their own craft beer in cans. In 2012, they began marketing some of their craft beer in resealable aluminum containers, and in 2012, they expanded and established another brewery in Brevard, North Carolina. Unlike many craft breweries, Oskar Blues only packages their beer in cans and kegs, not bottles.

Featured Brewery: Lift Bridge

February 18, 2019 by Allison Reps

Lift Bridge Brewing Company is a Minnesota-based craft brewery located in Stillwater, Minnesota. It is Minnesota’s 7th largest Craft brewery, well known for its flagship beers Farm Girl Saison® and Hop Dish® IPA. Lift Bridge currently distributes in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota. In 2018 the brewery produced over 19,000 barrels.

Lift Bridge Brewing Co. was founded in 2008 by homebrewers: Brad Glynn (current VP Marketing and Operations), Dan Schwarz (current CEO), Trevor Cronk and Jim Pierson. Originally brewing only for friends and family, they eventually began brewing bigger batches and sold their first keg of beer in September of 2008. In 2010 they moved into their current brewery space, eventually opening a taproom in 2011 taking advantage of the law allowing craft beer brewers to sell pints directly from the brewery. It is currently the oldest operating Taproom in the State of Minnesota.

In 2014, Lift Bridge became one of the first breweries in Minnesota to brew non-alcoholic craft root beer. Originally, the product was only available in the taproom until it was canned for retail distribution in 2017. Mini-Donut Cream Soda was released in 2018 and Black Cherry Soda will be released in 2019, both in 16 oz cans and distributed throughout the entire distribution footprint.

2019 will also kick off the launch of Lift Bridge Hard Seltzers in the Spring in 12oz slim cans. Introducing 3 mouth-watering flavors including: St. Croix Berries, Voyageur Citrus, and Northwoods Juice Box.
